The objective of negotiation is to reach an agreement that benefits both parties and advances the relationship. To achieve this, it is essential to understand the interests and motivations of the other party and to be perceived as fair. Effective negotiation results in both sides feeling satisfied with the outcome and willing to engage in future negotiations. As a Sandler-trained salesperson, you will learn how to secure a favorable agreement while also ensuring that the other party feels that they have negotiated a good deal.

 

This program consists of 3 1-hour sessions covering the critical aspects of successful negotiating strategies: 

  • Discover different types of negotiators and what the key successful elements of negotiating are
  • Learn the nine key sources of leverage that can tilt negotiation in your favor as well as how to avoid the negotiation being tilted in the opposite direction 
  • Understand best practices for preparing for a negotiation and how to avoid any blind spots
  • Uncover negotiation gambits that people will use to try to gain the upper hand
